About the role:
Reporting to the Controller, Financial Accounting, the Supervisor, Accounting and Consolidation is responsible for the delivery of high-quality financial information to our mine sites, Head Office, and other users to enable valuable decision-making. You will support functional process standardization and continuous improvement efforts and lead the team to excellence.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone detail oriented and meticulous in their work, who has sophisticated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities. Someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who can thrive under pressure with minimal mentorship to meet challenging priorities while building relationships within the team.

- Ensure that all team members are clear about the requirements of their role, understand the key performance indicators against which they will be measured, and provide effective and timely performance feedback
- Ensure that all team members have the skills, knowledge and training to undertake their job safely and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with business partners, working to standardize and streamline systems and processes to gather, analyze, interpret, and report financial data
- Work closely with the mines to ensure accurate responsibility-based cost reporting is in place to enable cost conscientious decision making
- Manage the accurate and timely completion of month end reporting and assist with the reconciliation process
- Coordinate the provision of quarterly and annual financial, audit and tax reporting requirements, including disclosure information
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Five years of progressively senior level experience in an industrial accounting environment
- Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) combined with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent digital literacy and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
