Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Staff Intern for the Gas Operations Safety.

This job involves working as a(n) This team is responsible for the Health, Safety and Well Being of over 2,000 Gas Operations employees.

This position will be Onsite.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

- Establish the GO Safety Sharepoint site

- Capture Standard Operating Procedures for GO Safety

- Establish Learning Libraries

- Electronic file organization

Job Specific Qualifications

The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Occupational Health & Safety, Organizational Management/Leadership and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.

Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

Desired:

- 3.0 GPA

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in a variety of Microsoft applications including word, excel and the overall Microsoft365 environment

- Excellent organizational skills

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
