Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Staff Intern for the Gas Distribution & Field Construction – Administrative department.

This job involves working as a(n) Administrative/business associate. The Administrative team in Gas Operations is responsible for supporting the various business units within the line of business. Tasks include payroll reporting, procurement/PO creation, invoice processing, organizational changes for union personnel.


This position will be Onsite.


Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

- The position can assist with drafting memos and other correspondence to both internal and external sources to standardize processes.

- Maintain all files, records, and reports in easily accessible locations such as electronically on the shared drive

- Provide standardization and better accuracy of the various clerical functions for the business (credit card reports, audit functions)

- Demonstrate judgement in prioritizing work and recognizing when to escalate an issue or concern.

- Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.


Job Specific Qualifications

Required education/skills: The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Business and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.

Some positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810).
