Responsibilities of the Position Include:

- Position, align, and fit, parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.

- Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.

- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.

- Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.

- Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.

- Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches.

Experience and Education Requirements:

- Must have completed a prior welding curriculum or 1+ years on the job weld experience. - Minimum 1+ years’ experience as a Structural Fitter.

- Must be a US Citizen.

- Must have High School Diploma or GED.

- Must be able to read blueprints.

- Knowledge of materials, welding, and machining

- Demonstrate strong decision making, mathematical, and analytical skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.

- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

- Must have strong ethical values, professional attitude, and confidentiality.
