Stair & Railing Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stair & Railing Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing custom staircases, handrails, guardrails, and other related fixtures that enhance safety and aesthetics in residential, commercial, and public spaces. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, durable, and visually appealing stair systems that meet project specifications and client expectations. Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, assemble, and install stair components and railing systems according to blueprints, schematics, and project plans

- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation processes

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise installation of stairs and railings

- Ensure all installations comply with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

- Perform site inspections to verify measurements, alignment, stability, and finish quality of installed systems

- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for stair and railing layouts

- Experience with hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders), and heavy equipment operation as needed

- Knowledge of construction management practices including estimating and inspection processes

- Familiarity with construction materials such as metal fabrication, glass installation, woodwork (trim carpentry), concrete forming, stucco, drywall finishing (plastering), caulking, flooring installation (tile or wood), masonry, roofing basics, restoration techniques, welding, framing carpentry, door hanging, painting preparation

- Ability to perform precise measurements using tape measures or laser tools; ability to read technical drawings accurately

- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and quality control

- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
