Staff Electronics Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Lead design trade-offs and architecture decisions for low-voltage subsystems supporting MV/LV power conversion, with a focus on safety and reliability.

- Design and validate hardware for control, sensing, and protection circuits

- Develop isolated interface circuits (e.g., signal isolators, isolated DC-DC converters, fiber optics) that ensure safe operation between high-voltage domains and low-voltage controllers.

- Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure clean signal routing, system-level timing alignment, and successful EMI/EMC compliance.

- Execute DFMEA and component derating reviews for single fault tolerant designs to meet product lifetime requirements.

- Own full lifecycle development of PCBAs, including specifications, schematics, BOM, prototyping, testing, and release to production.

- Maintain detailed documentation of requirements and release notes for traceability and compliance.

Qualifications:

- Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in electronics engineering

- 5+ years of experience designing and integrating low-voltage hardware for high-reliability or high-voltage systems - Proficiency with PCB CAD and simulation tools (preferably Altium Designer, *SPICE and/or PLECS)

- Proficiency in designing mixed-signal and power interface circuits with strong knowledge of component selection and derating for harsh environments.

- Hands-on experience implementing industrial communication protocols (CAN, RS-485, Modbus, Ethernet).

- Familiarity with EMI/EMC best practices and debugging techniques at the hardware level.

- Strong board bring up, debugging, and lab testing skills

- Excellent written and verbal communications

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally

Bonus Qualifications:

- Shipped a PCBA in a high-volume product

- Exposure to functional safety, HV design standards, or product certification processes.

: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.
