Staff Accountant

Position Summary

A staff accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks including preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and statements.

- Review and posts AP invoices.

- Maintain daily banking spreadsheets, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and intercompany loan activity.

- Prepare general ledger journal entries.

- Review and post accounts payable invoices.

- Perform month end account analysis.

- Upload trial balance into Parent company portal each month end.

- Track various month end GL accounts for Parent company review.

- Prepare operational analysis for productivity charts and labor statistics

- Collaborate with the credit team for customer account reconciliations.

- Generate payroll journal entries and month end accruals.

- Extract and file sales tax reports.

- Assist in Escheatment preparation and filings.

- Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits.

- Assist with preparing and processing payroll as needed.

- Perform additional taks and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field of study.

- Two years of experience directly related to the duties of the position.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-sovling ability.

- Intermediate to advance level ability with Excel.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
