Staff Accountant

to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will support the accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records, focusing on job costing, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of cost accounting, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of job costing, including tracking labor, materials, and overhead associated with specific jobs

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting

- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions

- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments

- Assist in month-end and year-end closings

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

- Support payroll processing and related reporting

- Prepare financial reports and job cost summaries as needed by management

- Help ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

- Provide administrative support to the accounting department

Qualifications:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

- 2+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing and job costing environment a plus)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

- Strong understanding of job costing and accounting principles

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
