Natural gas, crude oil and refined petroleum products marketing company is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its dynamic team. Must be a self-starter, effective problem-solver, and able to work as a team player. Core job functions include: processing and reconciling invoices, tracking receivables, accurate settlement of obligations, preparing, filing and paying various tax and informational returns, as well as researching rules and regulations to ensure compliance with numerous state tax departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management, and 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred. Salary range is $59,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.

- Reconciling BOL’s to ensure sales data is complete and accurate
- Generating sales invoices and assisting in cash settlement with counterparties
- Reviewing accounts receivable and initiating ACH transactions to collect payments
- Communicating with customers effectively
- Reviewing invoices from counterparties and reconciling any differences
- Preparing and filing state sales tax, motor fuels tax and gross receipts reports each month
- Maintaining sales tax exemption records and systems
- Taking initiative to research rules and regulations to ensure compliance
