The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in partnering with the Controller and CFO in strategic and technology projects to streamline processes and operations as Molded Dimensions continues to grow.
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist the Controller with cost accounting analysis and related projects.
- Support the accounting staff in streamlining AR and AP processes, which may include some clerical duties.
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors; assess any changes necessary.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Controller and CFO.
- Assist in the management of cash flow forecasting.
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the Controller and CFO.
- Other periodic ad-hoc requests.
- Requires a Associates’ Degree in Accounting.
- At least 3-5 years of overall professional experience; ideally 4+ years of manufacturing experience with IQMS ERP.- Ability to translate financial concepts to colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.
- Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices.
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
