Staff Accountant

Chief Ethanol Fuels is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Chief team. This position works with the controller on capital expenditure budgets, assists with ERP implementation and will also serve as backup to various accounting duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly close process. This position will spend time on special projects and financial analysis. This position will work independently and with teams, both accounting and operational.

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain capital expenditure budgets. Monitoring and communicating potential overages.

- Assist in managing ERP software implementation

- Design and prepare various reports needed in ERP

- Cross train as a backup for accounting duties, including daily accounts receivable, grain settlement, accounts payable and month end close. Perform these functions on a regular basis as workload and resources dictate.

- Assist with coordinating prevailing wage requirements both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

- Associate's degree in accounting or related field required.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
