Job Description:

Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our esteemed accounting team. The chosen candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This position requires someone with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to perform various accounting functions daily.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support accounting team

o Ensure proper documentation and organization of all accounting records in accordance with company policies

· Account Reconciliations:

o Conduct various complex account analyses and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data

· Month-end close and financial reporting:

o Assist with month-end close procedures by preparing journal entries and conducting thorough analysis

· Preparation of sales, excise, and motor fuel tax filings

o Assist in preparation of sales, excise and motor fuel tax filings, along with other periodic reporting related to tax compliance.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

· Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities

Qualifications:

· CPA certification or progress towards certification

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Experience with month-end close processes and/or tax compliance

· Familiarity with industry-specific accounting standards and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
