About This Job

American Window Film is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing essential accounting tasks, and contributing to the financial success of our organization. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Job Responsibilities

General Accounting:

•

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and transactions.

•

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.

Financial Reporting:

•

Prepare and analyze financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends to aid in decision-making.

•

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory filings.

Audit and Compliance:

•

Support the annual external audit process by providing relevant documentation and explanations as needed.

•

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and assist in tax preparation activities.

Accounts Reconciliation:

•

Reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Ad Hoc Projects:

•

Participate in special projects and financial analysis initiatives as assigned by the

Controller or senior management

Qualifications

•

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•

Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.

•

Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

•

Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel is a plus.

•

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

•

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

•

Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
