The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for ongoing and ad hoc analysis for our Merchandising team serving over 350 convenience stores located throughout New England, the MidAtlantic, and Texas. This includes defining data needs, working with/building data sets, and building analyses and business cases to support pricing decisions. This position will work with the Merchandising department, internal teams, and external brand partners to maximize item sales, basket sales, transactions and profits via every day and promotional pricing.

- Organizes and analyzes complex data sets across product categories. Develops pricing models within a price optimization system or independently to assist the Merchandising team in decision-making and profit growth.
- Manages projects and analysis for the pricing department and builds processes that support department objectives.
- Guides Pricing Analysts and pricing colleagues in conducting analyses when needed.
- Assembles, extracts, and illustrates meaningful and actionable insights from disparate sources.
- Conducts in-depth analysis to build business case for price changes and collaborates with Pricing Manager and Category Managers to review recommendations. Conducts pricing reviews to ensure pricing is rational - assesses pricing ladder relationships, margin performance, and regular pricing hygiene.
- Navigates, constructs, and transforms big data and databases to create actionable insights.
- Generates reports and develops/delivers presentations that illustrate the potential impact of price changes to support Category Managers
- Works with competitive pricing data and benchmarking data to assess Global's position in the market.
- Gathers competitive data occasionally to supplement pricing intelligence on hand.
- Monitors key performance indicators and makes data-driven recommendations based on findings.
- Collaborates with stakeholders both within Global Partners and across our external partners to consolidate data and communicate results. (Includes Vendors, Tech partners and Data Partners)
- Supports test & learn initiatives.
- Collaborates with data team to work on price elasticity and other relevant analytics projects.
- Conducts special projects as necessary to support Category Managers and CMM stakeholders.
- Communicates effectively across all levels of management throughout various departments within the company with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail to build business cases for improving division profit

- Knowledge of advanced analytics, retail transaction data, and pricing models
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint, Power BI) and pricing platforms
- Solid experience with Tableau and Power BI
- Nice to have: SQL coding
- Bachelor's Degree Concentration in business, economics or analytics
The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
