The Solar Manufacturing Technician is a key member of the assembly team responsible for producing Lumos’ proprietary solar modules and integrated solar products. This is a hands-on, physical manufacturing role involving detailed, repetitive assembly work and regular handling of glass solar panels, aluminum extrusions, and other materials.
This role emphasizes precision, consistency, and pride in craftsmanship while working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Assemble solar products using hand tools and power tools according to specifications and work instructions
- Safely handle and manipulate glass solar panels, aluminum components, and other materials
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications
- Package and label finished products for shipment
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the warehouse and assembly areas
- Collaborate professionally and respectfully with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Report to work on time and prepared to perform assigned tasks
- Perform other related tasks as needed to support production goals and team operations
- Previous experience using hand tools and power tools preferred (manufacturing, construction, or mechanical experience a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical assembly instructions, drawings, or blueprints
- Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work around moving machinery including stand-up forklifts, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
- Tasks may include standing for extended periods, walking, lifting and moving large materials, and climbing stairs
- Relaxed, comfortable dress code; sturdy closed-toe shoes required
