Responsibilities

- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations

- Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely using hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment

- Perform fixture installation, wiring, grounding, and testing of solar panels and related electrical components

- Conduct roofing work as needed for mounting solar arrays securely on various types of roofs

- Use construction site experience to ensure all work is completed efficiently while adhering to safety protocols

- Operate forklifts and other construction equipment safely when required for material handling or site access

- Collaborate with team members including plumbers and roofing specialists to coordinate installation activities

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and electrical experience to diagnose faults quickly and accurately

- Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, inspections, and system performance

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical wiring, circuitry, and system troubleshooting

- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams confidently

- Hands-on experience with fixture installation, wiring techniques, and electrical testing tools

- Construction site experience with familiarity in roofing work and working at heights on rooftops or structures

- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plumbing components, and power equipment such as forklifts

- Electrical experience specific to renewable energy projects or solar installations is highly desirable

- Valid certifications relevant to commercial electrical work; additional training in rooftop safety or roofing is a plus

- Strong commitment to safety practices with an understanding of construction regulations and standards
