Site Supervisor
Yellowknife, NT – N60 Project Sites

We’re looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead field operations on large-scale environmental remediation projects. This role is responsible for overseeing crews, coordinating equipment and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining site safety, quality, and productivity while supporting overall project delivery.
- Lead overall site safety and compliance, including incident reporting and daily tailgate meetings.
- Supervise and coordinate crews of 10–20 operators and laborers to safely execute daily work.
- Manage site activities including pipe fusing, pipelaying, earthworks, and moisture conditioning of clay and gravel.
- Coordinate subcontractors and communicate with clients, consultants, and project leadership.
- Ensure equipment is properly utilized, maintained, greased, and fueled daily.
- Work with surveyors to achieve required grades, elevations, and cut/fill balances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings to guide construction activities.
- Manage project schedules and budgets while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure industry best practices and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Report directly to the Area Superintendent on project progress and site performance.
- Experienced in road building, culvert installation, landfill construction, landfill gas systems, mining, or large-scale earthworks.
- A strong leader who can organize crews, manage priorities, and keep projects moving.
- A clear communicator who works well with crews, subcontractors, clients, and project teams.
- Committed to achieving company and project goals while maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment on active job sites.
- Comfort working long shifts in physically demanding environments.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment fleets including excavators, dozers, rock trucks, and compactors.
- Strong understanding of earthworks processes and site grading requirements.
