Shop Helper

Overview

We are seeking a Shop Helper to join our team in a fast paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various operations, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the assembly and fabrication of products using hand tools and power tools.

- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to move materials within the warehouse.

- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

- Support the assembly line by preparing components and assisting with quality control checks.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies at all times.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.

- Familiarity with assembly line processes and warehouse operations.

- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but not required at hiring.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Standard hours are 8am-430pm. Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
