Shop Helper

POSITION SUMMARY:

Shop Helper is responsible for performing various duties associated with parts manufacturing, equipment repairs, parts sales, and product shipments.

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Operates all equipment and tools with the utmost attention to safety and professionalism.

- Able to operate forklifts and wood working tools.

- Able to perform parts inventory checks, pull parts orders, and aid in prepping for shipment.

- Able to build shipping skids and crates for material leaving the warehouse.

- Performs general shop duties as needed such as sweeping, cleaning, and helping empty trash.

- Aids in loading and unloading freight shipment carriers.

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

- Effective communication and active listening skills

- Multi-task and manage time in order to accomplish all tasks in a timely manner

- Strong analytical skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1 year experience in a related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Ability to climb stairs and a ladder as required.
