The Warehouse Helper is an entry-level position, its primary function is to assist in the issue, receipt, stocking, delivery and accounting of District materials and supplies. In addition, the Warehouse Helper provides traffic control for other departments as needed.

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must adhere to the District’s residency requirements for response workers.
- Must have at least one year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated experience operating a PC or laptop.
- Must score above-average on the District’s Mechanical Aptitude Test unless previous test results are available.
- Ability to safely, efficiently, and effectively maneuver trailers; hauling, coupling, loading, backing, etc.
- A two (2) year technical degree in electrical technology from an accredited college or a certificate in electrical technology from a vocational/technical school.
- One year of working knowledge of the materials and supplies needed to complete the installation and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution systems.
- Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with no air brake restrictions.
Work Environment:
The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Work is performed mainly outside in all weather conditions with limited office work.
- Work is performed in the office or in the field Monday through Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM. Remote work is not available for this position.
- Work will be performed in the field with need to wear proper personal protection equipment (PPE) and perform work adhering to all safety standards.
- Will have to physically negotiate all terrain, in all weather conditions with tools, equipment and construction supplies.
- May work evenings, weekends and holidays and overtime for emergency outage situations.
