Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools, including power tools and hand tools. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the assembly line operations, you will receive, measure, inspect and pack orders daily.
Duties
•Receive, measure and complete a thorough inspection of customer product and prepare for coating process.
•Assemble components according to specifications and quality standards.
•Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.
•Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to supervisors/managers.
•Assist with packing orders during rushed mornings.
•Unload carousels of customer product when needed.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
•Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop environment.
Qualifications
•Previous experience in a factory, warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred.
•Excellent attention to detail, the ability to focus, inspect and keep a correct quantity count of customer products.
•Ability to read, write and understand detailed drawings and documents.
•Communication is a must, relaying information to fellow employees as well as management.
•Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
•Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
•Experience with cutting tools is preferred but not required.
