Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools, including power tools and hand tools. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the assembly line operations, you will receive, measure, inspect and pack orders daily.
Duties
•
Receive, measure and complete a thorough inspection of customer product and prepare for coating process.
•
Assemble components according to specifications and quality standards.
•
Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.
•
Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to supervisors/managers.
•
Assist with packing orders during rushed mornings.
•
Unload carousels of customer product when needed.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop environment.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in a factory, warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred.
•
Excellent attention to detail, the ability to focus, inspect and keep a correct quantity count of customer products.
•
Ability to read, write and understand detailed drawings and documents.
•
Communication is a must, relaying information to fellow employees as well as management.
•
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
•
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
•
Punctual and reliable.
•
Experience with cutting tools is preferred but not required.
