Shop Assistant/Driver

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Class 5 drivers licenses, no GDL. Clean drivers abstract.

· Perform pre and post-trip on truck and flat deck trailer

· Driver hours of service logs

· Load and unloading products

· Load Securement

· Deliver product to customers

· Light maintenance on truck

· Wash, buff, paint tools before and after inspections

· Experience running a loader

· Some computer experience is beneficial

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and pay attention to detail

· Organized with ability to prioritize and adjust to changing priorities

· Must be dependable and accurate

· Help maintains clean work area

· Complies with Health and Safety program and OH&S regulations

· Maintain good interpersonal relationships with other team members

· Positive attitude and willingness to do what is required

· Strong team player with proactive, safety-oriented mindset

· Effective listening and clear verbal communication skills

· Reliable transportation

Working Conditions:

· Machine shop and inspection environment with extended standing/walking, limited sitting. Most hours will be spent on the shop floor

· PPE required includes safety glasses (provided), steel toe boots (boot allowance provided)

· Some lifting required, up to 40 lbs. without assistance, cranes available for heavier lifting

· Hours 8-5 some overtime/weekend work required.
