Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Retail Manager to lead our team in delivering outstanding service and driving sales in our Catholic Art and Gifts store. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for our products and services coupled with proven retail management skills.
Responsibilities:
•Oversee day-to-day operations of the store, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
•Lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
•Ensure the store maintains a visually appealing and organized environment that reflects the values of our customer base.
•Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
•Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and expenses, and take appropriate actions to optimize results.
•Maintain strong relationships with vendors and our purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment of merchandise.
•Stay informed about trends in Catholic art and gifts, as well as developments in the retail industry, to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
•Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to employee conduct, safety, and security.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a team.
•Understanding of our products and how they are used.
•Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to excel.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
•Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale systems.
•Flexibility to work weekends, as needed.
