Full Job Description
Trojan Safety is looking for a full time Shop Supervisor to lead the team at our booming Fort St John Branch. Must be a self starter and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks based on demands. This position will require some mechanical/technological experience with an attention to detail and the ability to play well in the sand box with others.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to..
•Work with shop personnel and any additional personnel to help keep them on task with daily duties.
•Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard and storage rooms.
•Working with shop personnel to ensure equipment is being maintained and serviced to the highest standard possible.
•Keeping track of equipment. Having an accurate fleet count is critical.
•Ensuring insurances and CVIP's are being monitored and scheduled accordingly.
•Monitoring certifications, expiration dates and calibrations on equipment.
•Keeping the yard free of debris, overgrown vegetation and clutter.
•Ensuring field books are organized and adequately supplied.
•Ensuring that job equipment orders are being fulfilled accurately and on time.
•Be proficient in hauling trailers and operating Bobcat and loader.
•Informing shop persons or management if the Hotsy Pressure Washer and wash bay need servicing or maintenance. Organizing vac truck when necessary.
•Assisting in snow removal from walkways, stairways and the training center parking lot prior to the arrival or students or customers.
•Informing the shop personnel or office when garbage disposal, cardboard recycling and Canadian Water Serve and Save services are needed.
•Maintaining compliance on WorkHub.
•Establishing relationships with service providers such as Brogan Safety, Gregg Distributors, ext..
•Be able to take constructive criticism as such, it's nothing personal.
•Ensure all vehicles in yard are clean and ready to go, including equipped with all safety gear and necessary equipment.
•Work with Medic Coordinator to ensure medic room is sufficiently stocked and kept in a neat and tidy fashion.
•Staying accountable on purchasing of goods, products and supplies. Making sure waste is minimized.
Requirements
•Fluent in English; written and spoken
•Computer proficient - A MUST
•Attend and participate in safety meetings and inspections
•Valid safety tickets for working in the field (H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO)
•Ability to pull trailers if necessary
•Pass a pre-employment D&A test.
