Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team in an advanced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks, including assembly, fabrication, and the operation of power tools. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
•Assist in the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools.
•Operate machinery and equipment safely, including forklifts when necessary.
•Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to ensure timely production.
•Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the shop or warehouse.
•Fabricate components as needed, following specifications and quality standards.
•Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
•Maintain cleanliness of shop
Skills
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 POUNDS AND BE ON YOUR FEET
MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
•Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.
•Familiarity with assembly line processes in a factory setting.
•Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with equipment.
•Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
•Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing facility environment, adhering to safety protocols.
•Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
•Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
