Shop Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team. We are a growing company and looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic. This is an entry level position that requires some mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively with both power and hand tools, or a willingness to learn. Forklift experience is a bonus, but we can train on site. If you're looking for a chance to grow in your work experience, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools to assist in the fabrication and assembly of products.

- Support the assembly line by ensuring that all components are prepared and ready for production.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.

- Assist in the organization of materials and supplies within the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow.

- Prepare, account for, and package product for delivery.

- Maintain QC standards and assist in accuracy in product.

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and tool operation.

Experience

- Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is a plus.

- Familiarity with operating forklifts is preferred, but not mandatory; training may be provided.

- Experience working on an assembly line or in warehouse operations is highly desirable.

- Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.

- Strong work ethic and reliability.

- A commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean work environment is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
