Storeroom Assistant

Position Summary

The Storeroom / Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse and storeroom operations by assisting with receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing materials. This role ensures that materials and supplies are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, good physical stamina, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming shipments.

- Accurately label, store, and organize inventory in designated locations.

- Pick, pack, and stage materials for internal departments or external customers.

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storeroom and warehouse areas.

- Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies.

- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified).

- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards to supervision.

- Support other warehouse staff with general labor duties as needed.

Qualifications

- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).

- Previous warehouse, storeroom, or material handling experience a plus.

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.

- Basic computer skills for inventory systems and order tracking.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

- Work performed in warehouse/storeroom environment (temperature may vary).

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

- Occasional travel within the Ohio area may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly Rate: $30 per hour (depending on experience and location in Ohio).

- Eligible for overtime pay.
