Shipping/Paint Supervisor

Job Summary

Cives Steel Co New England, a large structural steel fabrication shop, is looking for a Shipping/Paint Supervisor to oversee and manage employees in the shipping yard and paint area ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create and maintain a safe, efficient work environment performing in collaboration with all departments.

· Oversee the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of the paint and shipping areas.

· Develop and manage production employees assigned to the paint and shipping areas.

· Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for all employees.

· Prepare employee records for advancement, attendance, and discipline.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure that employees are satisfactorily trained and comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

· Prepare and execute work plans to ensure safe, efficient operations.

· Communicate daily progress with Shop Superintendent and all other Shop Supervisors.

· Ensure that materials are identified, painted, stored and loaded accurately.

· Coordinate maintenance of departmental equipment and review preventative maintenance reports.

· Timely documentation of safety incidents, employee training, evaluation and discipline.

· Continual development of processes and equipment knowledge.

· Organization and accurate flow of materials with timely inventory of stored paint.

· Ensure that shipping and paint areas are kept neat and orderly and free from waste materials.

· Work as part of the team to complete other related duties as necessary for overall shop success.

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Perform basic computer functions utilizing E-mail Office and other internal programs you will be trained on.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Education:

- High school or equivalent (Required)
