PTW is looking for a Shipping and ReceivingSupervisorto work on site in our Calgary facility.If you are team oriented, organized, and have a high standard of safety, we want to hear from you!
- Works with the production department to organize and plan the shipping and receiving of goods andmaterials.
- Manages and assigns daily tasks for a team of 8 -10 shipping & receiving personnel.
- Conducts daily tool-box meetings, reviewing safety standards and protocols.
- Works with HR to select, interview, and hire new employee.
- Schedules crew and equipment to facilitate the movement of materials out of the fabrication shop to theblast and paint bays.
- Schedules crew and equipment to facilitate the movement of materials from the blast and paint bays tothe mod yard.
- Ensures inspections of forklift and/or other equipment is completed daily.
- Schedules routine maintenance on all shipping & receiving equipment i.e., forklifts, scheuerle trailer.
- Reviews, certifies, and documents safety hazards, behavior-based observations, and incidents daily using the company's safety compliance software
- Places orders for shipping & receiving materials through company's supply chain management system.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.
- Complies with standards and procedures of PTW's health and safety manual and Occupational Healthand Safety regulations.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as shipping & receiving supervisor or manager
- Beginner to intermediate skills using Microsoft products i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., standing, walking, and lifting *see physical demandsassessment).- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Experienced with proper rigging and overhead crane is an asset.
- Proficient in identifying materials by dimensions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be approachable have a positive attitude.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
