Overview:

Our Paint Process Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. The responsibilities of this position will involve monitoring and optimizing various aspects of production to enhance efficiency and quality.
o Regularly assess machine settings, parameters, and performance to maintain optimal production conditions.
o Make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent output quality.
o Take a weekly account of powder coat inventory quantities. Order powder coat at reorder points for each color.
o Repair/replace/report faulty equipment in both powder coat systems.
o Collaborate with quality control teams to address any deviations or issues.
o Make sure the paint and shipping supplies are adequately filled and ready for use.
3. Ensuring Production Processes Run Smoothly and Efficiently:
o Keep a close eye on production lines, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
o Accurately record production data, including machine settings, output quantities, and any incidents.
o Use logbooks for performance analysis and reporting.
o Take daily pH meter readings for both powder coat systems.
o Take a weekly account of chemical inventory quantities. Order chemical at reorder points for each cleaning stage.
o Conduct wastewater testing quarterly and send results to Provo City Wastewater Management
6. Maintaining a Clean and Safe Production Area:
o Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a hazard-free work environment.
o Continuously evaluate processes to identify opportunities for optimization.
o Suggest modifications or improvements to increase production throughput.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a process technician. 1-3 years of Powder Coat experience.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and observational skills.
- Sound knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical processes.
- Advanced report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
