Fabrication shop / Supervisor

Fabworks , is a leader in metal fabrication forming and welding. We are looking for qualified Materials Coordinator / Supervisor for our Otterbein Indiana , location.

The essential functions of this position include:

Supervision and material coordination of Welding shop

Overall responsibility will be material coordination and delivery to other welders, quality control

Overseeing production of quality fabrications that meet customer time frames while maintaining a safe work environment

Day-to-day supervision of the weld shop

Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure projects are run efficiently, profitably and on schedule

Attending weekly production meetings and update management of things needed to maximize efficiency

Track performance against goals and objectives

Assess and address financial and safety risks

Set a clear example of ethical behavior

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains inventory accuracy by ensuring the correct material and quantities are transferred to proper locations. Identifies and labels materials and supplies and records location of inventory. Delivers materials to production areas.

- Fabrication supervision

- Quality control of the entire weld shop

- Making sure other welders are hitting production times

- Loading and unload materials

- Organize stock in the most efficient way

- Pull material to fulfill orders properly

- Document orders, materials and any stock movements

- Other duties as assigned
