Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Proto Technologies is a nationwide prototype and low-volume manufacturer serving aerospace, medical, and government customers. We’re looking for a reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage daily shipping tasks, incoming materials, inventory, and local pickups/deliveries. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and staying organized, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

- Handle daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities

- Prepare, package, and ship products according to customer requirements

- Complete required documentation (packing lists, FAIs, tracking, certificates)

- Verify incoming materials and inspect for accuracy/damage

- Label and stage received items; manage material flow to production

- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules

- Support inventory control for raw materials and finished goods

- Communicate priorities with supervisors and management

- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment

What We’re Looking For

- 1 year of shipping/receiving experience (preferred)

- Strong attention to detail and organization

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office required)

- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift

- High school diploma or equivalent

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

- Experience with international shipping

- Familiarity with AS9100 or ITAR requirements

Schedule

- Monday–Friday

- Occasional overtime depending on workload
