Set-up Machine Operator/Machine Operator

Job Summary

Well-established company in Plainville, CT that manufactures intelligently designed products, to ensure the best products and services are provided to support our customers. This critical role of the business is directly involved in the timely and accurate handling of all customer orders into and back out of the business.

We are looking for a disciplined, detail oriented, and consistent team player, to join our team on a full-time basis.

Duties

- This position will be responsible for all activities associated to customer order processing.

- Load, start-up and run machines as required. You may be expected to operate multiple machines at one time.

- Ability to setup machines for jobs. Design and troubleshoot set up’s.

- Read drawings and job orders for information such as dimensions, tolerances, and job quantity.

- Adjust machine and tool settings to keep customer part dimensions within specified tolerances.

- Verify parts conform to specifications using gauging tools

- Change tooling as required

- Perform maintenance on the machines as required.

- Responsible for adhering to Management Quality Policy: All employees are responsible for the quality of their work, continuously improving processes, and participating in formal employee training programs.

- Maintain daily production goals and schedules.

- Must be willing to learn how to weld and fabricate.

- Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications/ Requirements

- Ability to layout new jobs and make continuous process improvements is preferred.

- Experience in thread rolling a plus

- Experience using and ability to interpret gauging tools, such as calipers, micrometers and comparators.

- Ability to produce quality parts while meeting defined production rates (quantities per hour)

- Strong mechanical ability is required.

- Possesses effective verbal communication skills

- Dedicated attendance

- Must pass a background check and drug test

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday some Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
