The Sr Tax Manager is responsible for all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and international tax laws while identifying opportunities to optimize tax efficiency. The Senior Tax Manager also mentors staff, manages external advisors, and partners with leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Manage preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Oversee quarterly and annual tax provision, including deferred tax calculations.
- Ensure timely filing of all tax obligations and maintain compliance with evolving tax regulations.
- Coordinate audits with tax authorities and respond to inquiries.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize financial performance across the organization.
- Evaluate the tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, or restructurings.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes to advise senior leadership on potential impacts.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff; provide performance feedback and training.
- Manage workload distribution, project timelines, and resource planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams on tax inquiries and issues.
- Streamline tax reporting processes and enhance internal controls.
- Implement technology solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency across the function.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Other duties as assigned by CFO.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 8 years of tax experience.
- Ability to oversee all tax functions as assigned and drive strategic direction.

- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
- Strong analytical, technical and strategic thinking skills.
