Smith Industries is looking for a hands-on, results-driven Senior Safety Manager to take our safety culture to the next level. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide HSE programs and policies.
- Drive compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, DOT, and customer safety requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Track and report leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with leadership, supervisors, and employees to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Oversee training programs, PPE and equipment readiness, and safety documentation.
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies, audits, and customer safety requirements.
- Mentor and lead HSE team members to build accountability and engagement.- 8+ years of progressive HSE experience, with at least 5 years in heavy fabrication or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards and environmental regulations.
- Proven track record in incident prevention, risk assessment, and compliance management.
- Preferred certifications: CSP, CIH, OSHA 30-hour (General Industry & Construction), First Aid/CPR Instructor.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
