The organization is seeking a highly qualified and proactive
Safety Managerto provide leadership and strategic direction for health and safety initiatives across all operational sites. This position plays an integral role in cultivating a strong safety culture, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and advancing continuous improvement in health and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive health and safety plans aligned with legal standards and organizational objectives.
- Conduct systematic risk assessments and safety audits at facilities and project locations.
- Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
- Lead and facilitate safety training programs, including Toolbox Talks and onboarding for new employees.
- Maintain and enhance all safety documentation, such as disciplinary procedures and incident reports.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with current industry regulations and best practices, while staying informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory updates that impact workplace safety.
- Encourage utilization of safety applications and digital platforms to support efficient reporting and workflow management.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance indicators, regularly report on metrics, compliance status, and improvement efforts to senior management.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of company-wide safety policies and protocols.
- Deliver training and educational sessions on safe work practices and procedural compliance.
- Work collaboratively with operations leadership to embed safety into core business processes.
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in safety management, preferably within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Professional certifications, such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or OSHA 30-hour, strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and safety management systems.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience implementing digital safety tools and managing incident tracking systems.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and influencing positive cultural change.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks.
