Position Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to support Colonial Group, Inc (CGI) and all its subsidiaries. This role will focus on brand revitalization, customer and employee advocacy, communications, and community affairs. The Senior Marketing Manager will also help establish and execute priorities for the marketing department, including through the development and management of an approved annual budget. The position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES•Brand Revitalization: Lead initiatives to refresh and strengthen the CGI brand and its subsidiaries, ensuring consistent and impactful brand messaging across all platforms.
•Customer and Employee Advocacy: Develop and implement strategies, in partnership with appropriate departments/business units to enhance customer and employee engagement and support.
•Communications: Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective messaging that aligns with the company's goals and values.
•Community Affairs: Manage community engagement efforts, including organizing and participating in community events, and, where appropriate, serving as the spokesperson for CGI at public events.
•Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to establish and execute priorities for the department, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
•Content Development: Ensure on-time delivery of error-free content for all public relations, advertising or marketing campaigns.
•Advertising Plan: Work with the agency of record and/or other media partners to develop and execute an annual advertising plan that stays within and optimizes the annual advertising budget.
•Social Media Strategy: Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
•Web and Social Media Management: Set up and optimize company web pages and social media pages for CGI and its subsidiaries. Ensure that content is published on time and at the company’s expected frequency.
•SEO Strategy: Develop and execute an SEO strategy for the company.
•Content Creation: Generate, edit, publish, and share content (original text, images, video, or HTML) to build meaningful connections and support the company’s brand promise.
•Brand Standards: Maintain and keep current the brand standard book for CGI and its subsidiaries. Ensure consistent branding that aligns with the brand standard book for all content.
•Division Support: Work directly with Colonial Group subsidiaries to support specific division marketing activities as needed.
•Event Management: Assist in organizing and executing company events and events sponsored or supported by Colonial Group, Inc.
•Public Relations: Coordinate with the public relations manager or firm to facilitate press releases or other public statements as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
•BS/BA Degree in Marketing, Media, Business, Journalism, or related field.
•4+ years’ experience leading the development and execution of content strategy, including development of copy, photography, video, rich media, landing pages, etc.
•4+ years’ experience in social media and content management.
•Excellent computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office and digital data programs.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, IT).
•Strong business acumen with the ability to learn, understand and converse around key business issues.
•Demonstrated integrity and a creative approach to challenges.
•Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.
•Strong project planning & managing, tracking, and organizing skills.
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver multiple activities and assignments simultaneously.
