POSITION SUMMARY
Renewable Fuels Accounting has an opportunity for a Lead Accountant! The Ethanol and Biofuel accounting team is responsible for accounting for purchases and sales of ethanol and biodiesel, performing inventory reconciliations, and supporting various front office activities. A successful candidate is a self-driven individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The main responsibility of the lead is assisting accountants and business partners in their troubleshooting efforts while resolving issues related to day-to-day activities. This role will work with a variety of stakeholders that include third party vendors, commercial traders, product schedulers, renewable compliance personnel and various others. This role will provide the selected candidate with opportunities to develop and mentor team members while providing ample opportunities to develop and hone leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Collects, compiles, analyzes, and verifies financial and other data to ensure the integrity of accounting records. Investigates and resolves discrepancies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in accounting or finance.
