Hurland Services Ltd., a well-established, mid-sized Surface Land brokerage based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, is currently seeking a Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. We have proudly served the energy and utility sectors for over 44 years, built on a foundation of professionalism, loyalty, and attention to detail.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, discretion, and efficiency. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is confident managing the full cycle of bookkeeping and supporting our team with high-quality financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle bookkeeping including monthly financial statements and reconciliations
Credit Card Reconciliation
Payroll processing and records of employment
Banking, online payments and cash flow management
Invoicing, accounts receivable and payables
GST and corporate tax preparation support
Managing insurance and WCB
Administering and managing the company’s health benefits program
Prepare year-end reporting and working with our external Chartered Accountant
Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of Senior full-cycle bookkeeping experience
Proficiency with Sage accounting software
Familiarity with online invoicing platforms such as Open Invoice and Jobutrax an asset
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration
Experience with T4 and T5 preparation, corporate tax is an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

On-site support and mentorship: This role is currently filled by a long-term employee who will be retiring and is available to support and mentor the successful candidate during the transition, ensuring a smooth handoff and continuity.
Salary range for this position is $85,000-$97,500 per annum, based on a 37.5 hour work week.
