Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Senior Benefits and Human Resources Specialistto join our dynamic HR team. This role is ideal for an HR professional with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to broaden their expertise across HR Functions in a multi-state environment.
As a key member of the team, you will assist in the management of employee benefit programs, support payroll review processes, and contribute to HR operations including immigration and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact to provide guidance to employees on benefits, payroll, and other related Human Resources related inquiries and issue resolution, responding promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate benefit administration activities including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA notifications, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with payroll and serve as backup payroll processing contact, administering and auditing to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
- Maintain and update benefit enrollment systems to ensure accurate data integrity (Workday & ADP).
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of benefit services.
- Prepare documentation and develop schedule for internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting needs.
- Own and execute the benefits billing and reconciliation process, ensuring timely payments and accuracy with internal records.
- Monitor and stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting payroll and benefits, and support the implementation of necessary updates.
- Assist with the administration of immigration/global mobility employees, including coordinating with internal teams, tracking visa status, supporting relocation activities for international employees.
- Assist with the administration of various benefit and payroll related orders such as wage garnishments, Qualified Medical Support Notices, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, Court Orders, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance) to identify areas to streamline benefits and payroll administration, resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Three to five years of experience in benefits administration or related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS / payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (ADP & Workday preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong service mindset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines reliably.
