The Senior Accountant is a key member of the leadership team responsible for the financial health, structure, and strategy of Optimum Rope Access Solutions. This individual will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and partner with leadership to drive financial clarity and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Amarillo, TX headquarters.
· Serve as the primary leader for the accounting and finance functions of the organization.
· Partner with executive leadership to support long-term financial planning, business forecasting, and strategic growth.
· Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and insight to drive decision-making.
· Oversee all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
· Manage month-end and year-end close processes with precision and timeliness.
· Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP and internal policies.
· Develop, implement, and manage annual budgets in coordination with department heads.
· Monitor actual vs. budgeted performance and prepare variance analyses.
· Prepare financial forecasts and scenario modeling to support executive decisions.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
· Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
· Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as needed.
· Manage and develop accounting staff, ensuring accountability and continuous growth.
· Promote a culture of accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence within the finance function.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
· 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
· Experience in job costing, multi-entity or multi-division environments is a plus
· High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
· Must reside in or relocate to Amarillo, Texas
· Must be comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-moving environment
· Occasional travel may be required for site visits or meetings
