Summary: VES is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in our Kingwood location. This person will work on the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•

Ensure global consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statements are reported in compliance with IFRS and Varel accounting standards.

•

Create and maintain financial reporting data elements used in SAP, Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) reporting tool, Planful, or other systems as applicable.

•

Assist with the consolidation of financials ranging from but not exclusive to elimination of intercompany transactions in addition to minority interests.

•

Assist with the development and implementation of corporate guidance and policies to regions while monitoring compliance to ensure comparability of financials along with completeness of financials.

•

Research and develop accounting guidance for moderate to complex accounting topics.

•

Assist with financial close process by ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines by all parties.

•

Aid in the completion of external audits, and the preparation of external financial statements.

•

Aid in other statutory reporting requirements like taxes but not exclusive to such.

•

Identify standardization opportunities with execution across processes to reporting templates for organization.

•

Continuously identify and improve reporting processes ranging from systems, processes and education.

•

Assist with variance and trend analysis of financials.

•

Assist with preparation of financial commentary used in monthly reviews or executive board meetings.

•

Upload financials to investor portal.

•

Assist with preparation of forecasts and budgets.

•

Assist with any new system implementations undertaken by organization.

•

Assist with other Ad hoc requests in support of the organization.

Education and/or Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited university.

•

MBA, CPA, CMA or other professional certification preferred.

•

Thorough understanding & knowledge of data warehouses / databases.

•

Knowledge of corporate finance, economics, and accounting standards used in GAAP and IFRS.

•

Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analytic techniques, accounting principles, and other business concepts ranging from but not exclusive to risk management, corporate structures, taxation.

•

Typically, at least five years of diversified experience dealing with progressively broader aspects of financial management, including trial balance, working capital, intercompany, insurance, cash management, tax and consolidation. Experience in a similar industry is desired.

•

Experience of reporting consolidated accounts.

•

Proven track record of NWC initiatives

•

Experience in USA tax matters

•

Experience in intercompany for multinational companies
