SEI Shop Assistant

About Us:

Specialty Engineering Inc. is a Northwest-based company specializing in high-voltage maintenance services for electric utilities and industrial clients. We take pride in our commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence. We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Shop Assistant to join our Vancouver team.

Position Summary:

The Shop Assistant will support day-to-day operations by performing various tasks in our shop environment. This is a part-time, as needed position and an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a technical and safety-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain equipment

- Pump and transfer oil

- Prepare equipment for shipping

- Operate a forklift

- Use basic hand and power tools

- Handle trash and shop clean-up tasks

- Assist with general shop maintenance and support tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Must be qualified to operate a forklift

- Able to lift up to 70 lbs

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols

- Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on environment
