- This position is responsible for providing the facility with physical and personal security
- Accounting for all people entering the facility
- Roving patrol to ensure security of the facility
- Monitoring marine radio for interfacing with ships entering the port
- Performing safety orientation for visitors/3rd parties
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Honorable discharge from the military
- 3 years of security experience
- The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
- Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries
- Able to work with a team and adhere to required work schedules
- Attention to detail
- 1 year of physical security experience
- Overtime may be required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Use internet for information gathering
- Flexible schedule to work required shifts (24-hour operation)
- Maintain professional composure other duties as assigned
- High level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to complete projects with minimum direction
- Team player
- Must be capable of occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25lbs
- Must be capable of sitting /standing for extended periods of time
- Must have manual/metal dexterity to operate telephones, 2-way radios, calculators and computers
- Subject to background check
- Subject to random drug testing
