Scale House Clerk

Williams C & D Landfill, Inc. is a class II landfill located in Graniteville, SC. Our landfill provides a clean, well-organized, safe, and environmentally responsible disposal site for the Aiken-Augusta area. We specialize in accepting all Construction & Demolition Wastes. Our scale house weighs each incoming load before going back to the active phase of the landfill for load screening and dumping. We prioritize quick turnaround time, reducing transportation time, labor, and equipment costs for our customers. Our dedicated team assists customers at the working face and carefully screens each load for acceptable materials.

Role Description

We are a thriving, family-owned business expanding our team. This is a Full-time on-site role for a Scale Clerk. Landfill Operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The expected work schedule is full time for this position and is between 40-50 hours per week. Some Saturday would be required.

We seek a reliable individual with outstanding customer service abilities to join us.

Main Job Duties:

- Weighing trucks to ensure accurate measurement

- Processing customer transactions and managing cash transactions

- Maintaining daily records by filing tickets

- Managing incoming mail by sorting and distributing appropriately

- Handling inbound phone calls and providing timely responses

- Supporting colleagues as required to ensure operational efficiency

- Clerical Responsibilities

- Generating monthly billing statements for clients

Qualifications:

- Experience in weighing and scale operations is a plus

- Knowledge of Construction & Demolition Wastes and acceptable materials is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work well in a team as well as be self-sufficient

- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
