Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Regional Director at Cooper Machinery Services holds the key responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of their designated geographical region. This role encompasses the oversight and management of all business, commercial and manufacturing functions within the region. The Regional Director is tasked with making pivotal operational and business decisions to achieve and exceed revenue targets, reduce costs, and maximize profits, all while ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to our clients. A central aspect of the role is to demonstrate exceptional leadership in articulating and driving business goals, programs, and processes across the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy Leadership: Lead Sales teams in developing and executing commercial strategies and solutions that align with customer requirements and exceed business goals.
Regional P&L Leadership and Oversight: Assume a leadership role with a focus on strategic direction and management of the regional Profit and Loss (P&L). This includes overseeing operational strategies, resource allocation, and financial performance across the region.
Strategic Vision and P&L Management: Develop and articulate a clear vision for the region's growth and profitability, implementing strategies to drive financial success and operational excellence.
Financial Performance: Achieve revenue, profitability, utilization, and budget targets, accelerating sales activities to grow the region's businesses profitably.
Operational Oversight: Manage the machine shop, repair and manufacturing facility that produces compression and engines components for gas compression product line.
Monthly Regional Review Development and Presentation: Regularly develop and present comprehensive monthly reviews for the region, encompassing operational performance, financial results, and strategic progress updates.
Efficiency Initiatives: Implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, asset utilization, and reduce total supply chain costs in conjunction with Corporate Operations.
Sales Target Achievement: Ensure the attainment of sales targets across various product lines within the region.
Regional Inside and Account Management Team Oversight: Manage the regional inside and account management team, coordinating operations across the West region.
Problem Solving and Objective Development: Utilize experience and expertise to address challenges, developing and executing objectives for the sales and Ops teams.
Safety Compliance: Actively promote and Drive compliance with Safety for the region.
KPIs and Reporting: Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to provide insights into Field service utilization, resource management, and overall field service performance. Identify process improvements to meet or exceed KPIs.


Required Skills and Experience:

Educational Qualification: MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Engineering, Management, Business, or a related field.
Extensive Sales Leadership Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales account management and/or commercial leadership roles.
Industry-Specific Experience: A strong preference for at least 7 years of experience in the gas compression sector.
Leadership and P&L Management: At least 3 years of experience in Sales and Operations Management with P&L responsibility for a business/unit, and management of large, diverse teams.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth working understanding of high and low speed engine-compressor product lines, including Ajax, CAT, Clark, Cooper Bessemer, Enterprise, IR, Superior Waukesha, Worthington.
Proven Track Record in Growth Strategy Implementation: Demonstrable experience in successfully implementing growth strategies, with a clear record of achieving turnaround and substantial growth in previous roles.
Expertise in Scaling Operations: Proven ability to scale up operations effectively, leading to significant regional growth and expansion.
Market Analysis and Strategic Planning: Strong skills in conducting comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Operational Efficiency Improvement: Experience in streamlining processes, adopting new technologies, and enhancing supply chain management to boost operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Team Leadership and Development: Proven capability in building, motivating, and leading a team to achieve exceptional results in a growth-focused environment.
Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management with experience in driving revenue growth and improving the overall financial health of a region or business unit.
