About This Job


Sales Responsibilities:

1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including inbound leads and proactive outreach. Proactive outreach including, but not limited to, cold calling, cold emailing, door to door, social selling and marketing through online social platforms, and networking through events or groups.

2. Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular check-ins and upselling/cross-selling opportunities.

3. Help prepare and deliver customer quotes in a timely and accurate manner.

4. Follow up on outstanding quotes and proposals to close sales efficiently.

5. Track and manage all sales opportunities using the company’s CRM or tracking tools.

6. Negotiate pricing and delivery terms within company guidelines.

7. Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and capabilities.


Customer Interaction & Relationship Management:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, updates, and problem resolution.

2. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and relay feedback to production or management.

3. Coordinate with customers to gather technical drawings, specifications, or documents required for quoting or production.

4. Develop targeted outreach campaigns for dormant or cold accounts.


Internal Coordination:

1. Communicate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to confirm lead times, material availability, and scheduling.

2. Handoff finalized jobs to production with complete and accurate documentation.

3. Attend production meetings when necessary to provide customer updates or clarify project intent.


Administrative & Reporting:

1. Log all activity, quotes, and closed sales in company systems or reports.

2. Monitor job progress and proactively update customers on delivery timelines or changes.

3. Help maintain documentation such as order confirmations, change orders, or credit memos.

4. Support tracking and reporting of sales metrics and KPIs (e.g., monthly sales totals, quote win rates).


Process Improvement & Collaboration:

1. Identify opportunities to improve quoting accuracy, speed, or customer experience.

2. Contribute feedback on workflow or documentation gaps that impact sales or customer handoffs.

3. Participate in sales meetings, team discussions, and strategy planning sessions.


Qualifications

Proven experience in sales management and business development
Strong negotiation and account management skills
Proficiency in B2B sales and outside sales techniques
Familiarity with Method or other CRM tools
Excellent leadership and analytical skills
Background in manufacturing or production sales and marketing
Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
