Capital Sales Manager Weir Minerals Toronto Remote or Mississauga Business Need / Purpose of the Role:
As the Capital Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of our capital equipment to mining companies and EPC firms in Toronto. Emphasizing the delivery of complete solutions, you will leverage your industry knowledge and network to foster the growth of the company.
This role is part of a regional team and is responsible for meeting sales objectives and constantly identifying business opportunities for the entire Weir portfolio by engaging in the early stage of the projects, aiming to enable a profound understanding of customer needs, building solid relationships, mitigating risks, customizes solutions, shortening sales cycles, and maximizing upselling opportunities. This proactive approach is critical as it enhances competitiveness and fosters long-term customer relationships.
The Capital Sales Manager should have excellent communication skills and a natural ability to cultivate long-lasting business relationships. Seamless communication with local business units and key stakeholders is vital for resource optimization and engagement. In light of our long-term strategy's comprehensive solution approach, establishing and maintaining strong relationships and communication with our Division, Regions, and other key stakeholders within Weir is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives (KPI’s) and market share growth within the assigned territory or accounts.
- Emphasize solution-oriented selling and promote new differentiating technologies, positioning the company as a comprehensive provider of integrated solutions (Flowsheet).
- Creation of sales presentations, commercial proposals, and contracts for potential business as required to ensure seamless conversion and risk control, leveraging the support of internal resources such as engineering, application, product management, etc.
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including mining companies, EPC firms, consultancy firms, and professional associations.
- Leverage industry connections to identify business opportunities and partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with clients and decision-makers to understand their challenges and processes and successfully introduce and position our solutions.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our capital equipment portfolio, highlighting the comprehensive and transformational solutions we offer.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted messaging and promotional materials and participate in industry tradeshows and conferences.
- Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales initiatives. Up to 50% travel.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in capital sales within the mining and industrial sectors (+10 years).- Demonstrated experience in dealing with international engineering firms promoting mineral processing technologies or industrial equipment.
- Strong industry connections and a deep understanding of market trends.
