Planet Solar is looking for an outgoing, motivated Sales Consultant to join our team in Clovis, CA. If you enjoy talking with people, building trust, and helping customers find the right solar solution, this could be a great fit. In this role, you’ll connect with homeowners and businesses, explain how solar works, and guide them through the process from first conversation to installation and beyond.
This is a full-time, on-site role where you’ll be out in the community, meeting with potential customers, sharing our products and services, and helping them make the switch to clean, affordable energy. Your focus will be on creating a smooth, positive experience while reaching your sales goals and supporting the growth of Planet Solar.
- Talking with homeowners and business owners about how solar can save them money and make their energy more reliable.
- Learning about each customer’s situation, building relationships and helping them find the right solar setup for their needs. We want customers to understand why they want to choose us vs the competition.
- Walking people through quotes, financing options, and what going solar really looks like (no jargon, just real talk).
- Staying up to date on solar products, incentives, financing options, and rebates so you can answer questions with confidence.
- Keeping in touch with leads and following up so no deal gets left on the table.
- Working with our install and project teams to make sure customers have a smooth experience from start to finish.
- Hitting your personal and team sales goals while having fun and keeping a positive vibe.
- Positive attitude and a self-starter mindset, you don’t wait around for things to happen, you make them happen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ yr Solar Sales experience- Must have or be able to acquire a California Home Improvement Sales (HIS) License before selling solar
- Reliable transportation to meet with customers in and around the Central Valley
- Comfortable using basic technology (phone, email, CRM, calendar, spreadsheets) to stay on top of leads and follow-ups
- A positive, professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Comfortable talking with people and building strong customer relationships
- Strong communication skills, both listening and explaining
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
- Good at following up and staying organized with multiple leads at once
