Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to support and enhance our workplace safety culture within our operations. The Safety Coordinator will assist in implementing and maintaining company safety programs, conducting inspections, coordinating training, and promoting a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular facility inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Support incident investigations and ensure proper documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training for employees and supervisors.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist management with risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
- Promote employee engagement in safety and serve as a resource for safety-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (including OSHA General Industry standards).
- High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, and health, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial safety, EHS, or related role preferred.- Bilingual ability is preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and perform inspections throughout the facility.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, noise, temperature changes).
